From his experience devising technology strategies for Fortune 10 companies, Bala gave invaluable insights on how Software Intelligence has become crucial to the strategy formulation process.
He details how CIOs and technology executives often find it challenging to identify the projects to bet their money on. He further added that technology strategy is now a board room agenda and that the software intelligence data from CAST has enabled CIOs and CTOs to have fact-based conversations with the other CxOs.
Kevin Fedigan, the former CIO of a large multinational custodian bank, spoke to us during the Software Intelligence Forum in Paris.
He talks about the challenges of running the IT organization of a large bank with legacy systems and how CAST addresses the need for a product that could give objective insight into the most complex software systems. He elaborates on how the data from CAST was used in several processes in his IT organization to drive success: to reduce risk, to proactively ensure cyber resiliency, and to influence individual team behavior through gamification.

Prashanth Panduranga, SVP IT for Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, joined us at the Software Intelligence Forum in Paris to talk about his modernization journey using Cast Highlight.
Prashanth shared his thoughts on why Cast Highlight is unique and how the comprehensive metrics serve the needs of IT executives with large application portfolios to manage. He elaborated on his engagement with Microsoft, who involved CAST to create a cloud migration roadmap for SwissRe. He also expressed his vision for application portfolio management in the context of fully automated build chains and why Highlight is the best solution in that context.
Erik Oltmans, an Associate Partner from EY, Netherlands, spoke at the Software Intelligence Forum on how the consulting behemoth uses Software Intelligence in its Transaction Advisory services.
Erik describes the changing landscape of M & A. Besides the financial and commercial aspects, PE firms now equally value technical assessments, especially for targets with significant software assets. He goes on to detail how CAST Highlight makes these assessments possible with limited access to the target’s systems, customized quality metrics, and liability implications of open source components - all three that are critical for an M&A due diligence.
Francisco D’Souza spoke at the Software Intelligence Forum 2020 in Paris as the vice chairman of the board of Cognizant. As CEO, he oversaw unprecedented and unmatched growth at Cognizant from 2007 to 2018.
During the latter half of that journey, Frank decided to invest in Software Intelligence with CAST. He talks about how he saw CAST as part of the industrialization engine that would make Cognizant go beyond human-only capabilities. Frank also explains the use of CAST as a differentiator that would enable new pricing models and improve the top line.
When asked about the future, Frank describes how software will transition from development to assembly and the importance of having something like CAST to assure resiliency, efficiency and security of resulting systems.
